Swedish singer, dancer and composer, born 15 October 1984 in Värnamo, Småland, Sweden. She is educated at the Performing Arts School in Gothenburg. She also has a three-year musical education at the bottom. Ryd worked as a show artist at Cabaret Lorensberg in Gothenburg before she became the full-time frontwoman of the power metal band Amaranthe. In 2008, the band released their first demo Leave Everything Behind and have since toured the world.
