Emanuel Ortega

Emanuel Ortega was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina on October 18 of 1978. His parents are: famous singer Palito Ortega and Evangelina Salazar.
He recorded his frist album at the age of 15 and became a star in Argentina with many number one songs and a platinum record award. With his third album, he landed a hit single with "Tema De Amor" specially in Spain where his album sold many copies as well. With his next release he had a top 5 single in the US Latin Charts and with the song "A Escondidas". With that single, he became well known all over Latin America. The track was also used for a soap opera in Venezuela. During the filming of the video for the single, he met moldel Ana Paula Dutil who he later married and had two children (Bautista and India).
In 2001, he made his acting debut with his own soap opera "Enamorarte" with actress Celeste CId and released a new CD "Presente Imperfecto" produced by Cachorro López, Emanuel then ended his contract with Sony Music and decided to leave the mainstream pop and ballad style and started experimenting with rock and acoustic songs. In 2014 he released "Momentos", a compilation of re-recorded hits from the beginning of this career and two new bonus tracks.
