Eskiz

A rock’n roll band from Istanbul which started to get known in the underground music scene at the start of 2010’s with their noisy and vigorous performances. Following their first recordings came out in 2014, eskiz released ‘Türkçe Sözlü Ağır Müzik’ as an EP in 2015. Consisting psych/heavy blues elements, the EP enabled the band to make an experimental debut with a unique Turkish garage rock sound. Current lineup of the band has been finalised in the same year with Uygar Çetiner joining as a drummer alongside Can Tunaboylu on bass/Moog Synthesizer and Deniz Ağan on guitars/vocals. After working on new songs by inhabiting the studio they worked in, Eskiz released the ten songs LP ‘Beterin Beteri Var (It Could be Worse)’ in 2017 which was completely recorded live.

Since 2017, Eskiz has been on a spiritual journey, seeking different intentions which effected their musical style and stage performances over the years. As a result, the ‘Kozmik Ruh Dansı (Cosmic Soul Dance)’ produced by Alp Ersönmez and introducing Yasemin Özler on keyboards was recorded, as their most recent and pretentious work to be.
