Finnish choir conductor. He has his musical roots deep in the Finnish music education tradition: he began his musical education at the Espoo Music School (now the Juvenalia Music Institute) with piano as his major, and in primary school he went to music class. In the music class, he got his first contact with polyphonic choral singing - something that eventually began to appeal to the little schoolboy more and more. After high school, Esko studied mathematical subjects for a couple of years, before starting to study at the Sibelius Academy. There he took an A-degree in choral conducting in 2004, and then also received the right to study for an A-degree in piano, but was already too busy with his choirs.
