Died on 3 April 1993 of cancer
Started his career in the late 50s with Jesse Belvin as The Cliques duo. In his solo career he recorded mainly for Class and Class. After his 1967 single for Class, he quit the recording business and became a successful owner of a hair salons chain. He returned to the music business in the late 80s focusing on gospel music.
