Eva Engdahl

Swedish musician, composer, and conductor, sometimes known by the artist name 'Marie Adams', born on April 21, 1924, in Västerås församling, Västerås, Västmanland, and died on January 30, 2018, in Folkärna, Avesta, Dalarna. Eva Engdahl was classically trianed but is also regarded as Sweden's first female jazz pianist. She was likely also the first in the country to establish a jazz piano trio. With this ensemble, she performed in Stockholm as early as the 1940s. Mother of Georg Wadenius (from her first marriage).
