Medieval dark ambient project EVILNOX was created in the winter of 2012 by composer and multi-instrumentalist under the pseudonym Rux Minn. The compositions of project are dedicated to the culture of the Dark Ages, the times of endless wars and the decline of civilization, the heyday of dark cults and witchcraft. Also, the compositions of project can sometimes be found dark fantasy themes and personal philosophy. The music is difficult to characterize any one genre. From 2012 to the present day, on various labels and self-released, there were many releases, which are very different from each other, and the music varies from Dark ambient and Neofolk to Black metal and Dungeon Synth. But they all share a common concept, atmospheric, gloomy and melodic, peculiar only to Evilnox.
