Husband to Joan Littlewood, Jean Newlove (parents of singer/songwriter Kirsty MacColl and Hamish MacColl), and Peggy Seeger (parents of Neill MacColl, Calum MacColl and Kitty MacColl).
Founder member of the Banner Theatre.
