About

Exile is a 19-member Japanese men only group.
The group was founded in 2001 out of J Soul Brothers when Sasa, the vocalist of that group, quit. The group's leader Hiro brought in 2 new vocalists and changed the group's name to Exile. At that time Exile consisted of 6 members, the 2 new vocalists and the 4 dancers continuing from J Soul Brothers.
Hiro restarted J Soul Brothers in 2007 with a totally new lineup, and for a time was the leader of both groups simultaneously. In 2009 he merged the groups under the name Exile.
