About

Formed in Southend, Essex in early 2005. Originally comprising four members, Simeon Ralph on vocals and guitar, Simon Bellamy (who later left to join the band Baddies) on vocals and guitar, Simon Smith on Drums and Matthew Smith on Bass. A satirical alternative/art rock band they recorded three e.ps as a four-piece band which were not officially released. They have toured extensively throughout Europe and played all over the U.K. Their first album as a three piece, 'Mischief of One Kind and Another' (2009) was listed as one of Echoes and Dust's albums of the year and was released as a very limited edition mini cd in Ukraine by Alien Hand Records. The single 'Moremonkeythanmanman' received some surprise airplay by Steve Lamacq on his Radio One In New Music We Trust show. Next album, 'Him Make They Learn Read' (2011) was self-released as Angry Jeebas Records, it was also listed as an album of the year by both Sweeping the Nation and Echoes and Dust magazines. The e.p 'The Jowls of Justice (2013) was released as a download only through their bandcamp page. In 2014 Fashoda Crisis launched a Kickstarter Campaign for their first full length album (previous albums were 7 tracks each). 'Almost Everything is Entirely Average at Almost Everything' scheduled for release in 2014.
