US soul singer. Taylor began singing with her sisters Norma and Darlene in a trio, The Sweets, who recorded one single, "The Richest Girl", for the Valiant Records (2) label in 1965. She recorded throughout the 60s and seems to have left the music business in the early 70s. Born January 29, 1944 in Richmond, California. - Died June 12, 2017. She married her manager [a=Johnny Taylor (12)] in 1960. They divorced in 1977.
