Félix Fourdrain

Félix Fourdrain (3 February 1880, Nice — 23 October 1923, Paris) was a French organist and composer, best known for his operas; he often collaborated with librettists Arthur Bernède and Paul De Choudens and was a close friend and disciple of Jules Massenet. Fourdrain premiered several operas in his lifetime, such as La légende du Point d'Argentan at Théâtre National De l'Opéra-Comique in 1903, Vercingétorix (1912) at Théâtre National De l'Opéra-Comique, and Madame Roland at Théâtre National De l'Opéra-Comique in 1913.


Fourdrain studied with Alexandre Guilmant and Charles-Marie Widor at [url=https://discogs.com/label/1014340]Conservatoire de Paris[/url], awarded a premiere prix in 1900 for his organ performance. After graduation, Félix served as a titular organist at Théâtre National De l'Opéra-Comique.
