American blues singer and guitarist, born September 23, 1935 in Minter City (near) Greenwood, Mississippi, died November 25, 1997 in Rockford, Illinois. Robinson first recorded for Meteor in Memphis, Tennessee, in 1957, recorded for Duke in Houston, Texas, in 1958-1959, and moved to Chicago in the early 1960s. Apart from his own records, he played with Rosco Gordon, Junior Wells, Sonny Boy Williamson, Otis Rush and others.
