Five Deez

Five Deez is a hip hop group from Cincinnati, Ohio, formed in 1993. The group consists of [a=Jon Marshall] aka Fat Jon (producer/MC), [a=Patrick Johnson] aka Pase Rock (MC/DJ), [a=Kyle David] (MC), and [a=Corey Brown (3)] aka [a=Sonic (9)] (producer/MC). Their name is derived from "Fifth Dimension." Five Deez released their first EP, Secret Agent Number 005 The E.P., in 2000. Their debut album Koolmotor followed in 2001, blending elements of hip hop, electronic, and jazz. In 2003, they released Kinkynasti, followed by Kommunicator and Slow Children Playing in 2006. The group has also contributed to several compilations and collaborated with artists in the U.S. and Japan. Members of Five Deez have released solo projects and worked with international producers, including Nujabes and Force of Nature. Despite pursuing individual careers, the group has not officially disbanded.
