Flame Fortune

Flame Fortune (29 Jan 1962–16 Dec 1991) was a singer and VJ from Los Angeles, CA.

An aspiring artist, she approached INXS' management, leading to a 1985 Australian single co-produced by Michael Hutchence. Having recorded a second single in Sydney in 1989, she worked as a VJ on the VHS music magazine [url=https://www.discogs.com/label/1551488-MUV]Underground USA[/url].

Flame Fortune was murdered in Lake Los Angeles, LA County in 1991. Flame was rumoured to have had a mid-'80s relationship with Michael Hutchence, and the INXS song "Show Me (Cherry Baby)" from Elegantly Wasted was written about her.

Born Heather Hogue, she was a child actor (as Heather Harrison), and as a teenager edited a music zine (Hot Rocks) and co-presented a cable TV music show (The Heather and Annie Show, c.1979–81).
