Was a backing singer for [a=Galaxy (4)] and also toured with them. He was originally in a jazz band at school called Proton Plus who had releases on a couple of different labels. After this he released a soul tune on Production House as part of [a=North West Ten]. Due to his association with Phil Fearon (he was school friends with his brother, [a=Lenny Fearon]) he began producing for Production House Records.
