    American singer, comedian, and accordion player. Born 1925 Lakewood, Ohio. Died 1995 Hermosa Beach, California (age of 70). Pete Barbutti says, “Frank Ross of The Mary Kaye Trio was the guy who really started lounge comedy with his off-the-cuff routines. Shecky Green, Don Rickles, and “The Rat Pack” all found out what premise worked, by watching Frank Ross.” At age 17, he joined Johnny Kaaihue & His Royal Hawaiians to replace Norman Kaye, who had been drafted.
