American folk musician, jug and washtub bass player and sound engineer (10 July 1939, Newton, Massachusetts, USA - 20 November 2005, Portland, Oregon).
He is considered a key figure on the Boston folk music scene and won national attention in 1963 with [a=Jim Kweskin And The Jug Band]. He is known to have worked at Elektra Sound Recorders.
