    Gabriela Robin debuted in 1993. Her identity remained an industry secret for decades, conspicuously only appearing on music produced by Yoko Kanno. In 2009, Robin announced she would appear in person at a Kanno-led orchestral concert; as the song Robin intended to sing started playing, Kanno herself spun around from the conductor's podium and sang it herself, confirming Robin's true identity. Kanno has used the Robin alias up to the present day.
