Gallia Fornax was a dungeon synth/black ambient band based in Pays-de-la-Loire, France. It was founded by keyboardist and soundscape artist Der.Walsch (aka Lansquenet) in 2005. After recording over 45 minutes of ambient material, Canadian musician Alexandre Julien (aka Peine) joined on guitar and bass with plans to add a black metal element to the full-length. However, the project broke up shortly after and the planned full-length was never completed. Der.Walsch then compiled two demos; "Gallia Fornax" using only dark ambient keyboard material, and "Gloria Regnum" which used material demoed by Alexandre Julien. The band also appeared on two compilations in 2007. Gallia Fornax was part of the Triskalyon collective.
