    Alexander Julien (born January 15, 1988 in Cote-des-Neiges, Montreal, Quebec, Canada) is a Canadian-American musician, composer and producer. In 2006 he co-founded the record label Mortification Records (2006–2010), which was operated by the members of Triskalyon, and in 2008 founded his own record label Mortification Records. Julien also established the audio recording and graphic design studio Mortification Records (in Edison, New Jersey, United States), which changed name to Mortification Records once it relocated to Montreal, Quebec, Canada in 2007. Additionally, he operates the music and text publishing firm Mortification Records, the short film production company Abridged Pause Productions, the webzine Abridged Pause Blog and the merchandising company Abridged Pause Apparel; all imprints of umbrella company Abridged Pause Enterprises. Julien is also a music and film researcher and biographer, publishing some of his works on Abridged Pause Blog.

    Grandson of Pierrette Bourdon; nephew of Pierre Bourdon and Stéphane Fania; brother of Catherine Julien; cousin of Maxime Julien.
