Gangstarasta is the name of a band that was formed on December 19, 2001, with personnel/beginning: 1. Vocals: Emilio / Emil 2. Bass: Ian Plongo (now Uprising bassist) 3. Guitar: Day Iskandar / Enday (Redemption, Uprising, D'fitrees, ReFeel) 4. Keyboard : Revi Bonge 5. Drums: Boim Blanko 6. Management/Manager: Cucut. Basecamp & management : Joglo-West Jakarta Official Debut Formed With a commitment some time Before Opening (featuring) Guest Star "SLANK" at the Mercu Buana University campus music event in 2001. With the Management/Manager of the grandson who is a friend of the same gang, Gangstarasta played in many gigs/events starting from Pensi, general music events, to cafes and bars, outside and inside the city. until finally Gangstarasta was widely known by the music community, especially Jakarta. At the beginning of the formation of this band, it turned out that there was the involvement of Tepenk (seteven jam/coconuttreez) as vocalist with Emil, Budi on guitar (panic Disorder) and several friends where they jammed at Betawie cafe on Jl. Jaksa. Gangstarasta changed formation around 2003, at that time Cuwox entered as a replacement for Revi on the keyboard. Around 2004, Gangstarasta changed formation again because the guitarist (DayIskandar) was busy finishing his engineering studies. At that time Gayo entered as a replacement guitarist. And not long after Mas Budi (Mas Bud) entered as the 2nd guitarist. The Gangstarasta formation underwent several more changes, from Bayu "Roots" (guitar), Richard The Gilis (vocals), Kenro Bassist (Austin Project) and several fellow musicians who had filled the gaps in the Gangstarasta formation. There are many stories that Gangstarasta has gone through, until they reached the final formation that produced the first album "Unite" by Fame Records. Gangstarasta which means a group of young people, love peace, care about society. Gangstarasta chose reggae as their music genre because among other things the spirit of reggae itself spreads a sense of love and peace to all people in the world regardless of differences in religion, race, tribe and social.
