    Gentleman Auction House

Gentleman Auction House initially began as a new musical endeavor for St. Louis native singer/songwriter Eric Enger, but has gradually blossomed into a seven-piece collective, providing a sonically saturated accompaniment featuring a variety of instrumental textures – from piano, organ, and auxiliary percussion, to flute, trumpet, and bowed guitar. Ranging from spirited guitar romps and unrestrained percussive fanfare, to down-tempo introspections and swelling declarations, each song claims its own identity amidst a laundry list of lyrical poignancies. On their debut EP "The Rules Were Handed Down", Gentleman Auction House succeed in marrying a pure and uncompromising DIY aesthetic with the lush and dynamic atmospheres of multi-instrumentation. The final result is a record that embodies youth at the cusp of adulthood, confronting past and future alike with a rare mixture of ebullience and acuity, wrapped in a musical approach that is as restless as it is bold. With a consistent string of local and regional shows and festivals, Gentleman Auction House continue to warm audiences to their impassioned addresses and cathartic refrains.
