Scott played with Jay Whidden And His Band (1928-1930), and after was accompanying artists such as: Richard Tauber, Sir Harry Lauder, Beatrice Lillie, Larry Adler, Gracie Fields, Vic Oliver, Max Miller and others.
In 1934 he led his "Six Swingers" which enjoyed a good popularity in the 1930s.
