Belgian violin player and conductor, born in 1923 in Gabon (Belgian Congo), died on 18 June 2020 in Brussels. He won the "Price Henry Vieuxtemps" in 1941 and became assistant conductor at [a3484215] / [a1265340] in 1960 and in 1985 became music director of this orchestra. From 1976 to 1989 he was the conductor of the final of the prestigious Queen Elisabeth Competition.
