    The Ensemble was founded in 1986 as ჟურნალისტი (Vocal Ensemble "Journalist"). In 1991 it was renamed ქართული ხმები (Kartuli Khmebi - Georgian Voices). Now the ensemble "Georgian voices" has ten singers: the three first tenors, two second tenors, two baritones and three basses.
