    Italian pianist, arranger, and conductor, born in Milan (1929), died in Milan (2017). Studied piano and graduated from the Conservatory of Milan in orchestra conducting. In 1957 he joined the RAI as a pianist, working with Cinico Angelini and William Galassini. As a studio arranger, renowned for his effective string arrangements. Conducted in various editions of the San Remo Song Festival as well as leading the orchestra for the Italian entry in the 1961 Eurovision Song Contest in Cannes. Later became artistic director of some record companies. Worked in radio and television for Rai (until 1986) and later for Mediaset.
