Gilbert J. Moegerle

Gil Moegerle was born in 1944 and raised in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania. He attended Asbury college in Kentucky and participated in several Youth for Christ international teen teams before founding The New World Singers in 1967.

He was married to fellow singer Ruth Moegerle.

He subsequently worked in broadcast production, agency services, retail marketing and corporate communication. Along the way, he co-hosted the national Christian radio program Focus on the Family and served as a media representative for the electricity utility Southern California Edison. He now lectures on public relations.
