It hasn't taken long for GLADYSS PATCHES to make their mark on Vancouver. Comprised of Darren Robinson (vocals), Mike Hooton (guitar), Alex Roque (vocals, guitar), Jordan Sokoloski (drums), and Brad Laviolette (bass), this powerful group of talented musicians has focused on tearing through whatever barriers stand in their way, gaining them recognition and raising eyebrows while becoming a group to be reckoned with.

Opening the eyes of many music fans with an E.P. called "Tijuana Crackwhore" GLADYSS PATCHES quickly established themselves as a band to watch for. Now with the release of their latest LP "Novelty" the band has proven to be an unstoppable force, certain to make instant fans of all who are within earshot of their fierce rap-attack.

Energy personified they have whipped the Vancouver music scene into a frenzy with their potent rhythm section and two amazing vocalists contributing different styles to their diversely explosive live shows. GLADYSS PATCHES live shows have gained them a cluster of dedicated fans and the 1st place prize at a Vancouver Battle of the Bands competition. Their live performances are impressive enough to be listed in the year-end top ten live shows by a local entertainment writer. They have contributed one of their tracks (Hush) to the W.A.V.E (Wayward Anthology of Vancouver Entertainers), and are also featured on the official MP3.com site where it has been holding its own against all others.

Being on the road is where the band shines the brightest and having played throughout Western Canada and Los Angeles they have created an ever-growing loyal fan base. They are having an impact on the airwaves as well, with hordes of radio stations across B.C. and the prairies playing the new disc. Over the last few month's GLADYSS PATCHES have had the opportunity to perform with Columbia Recording Artists Flybanger, SNFU, Noise Therapy, God Awakens Petrified, and The Las Vegas Crypt Keepers as well as headlining the annual Richmond Rock-fest and Blister in the Sun Festival.

GLADYSS PATCHES have introduced the mainland to their powerful fusion of hip-hop and hard pounding music and are set to show everyone within their reach what disc they are missing in their music library. With the fierce rap-attack, soaring harmonies, haunting sounds and heavy grooves of Novelty these five guys are set to make Y2K the start of more than just a new millennium.
