    Gomba Jahbari is a reggae band from Puerto Rico. The group's name originates from a S. African dialect and it literally means "Brave Warrior". Gomba Jahbari is made up of eight musicians who are all from San Juan, PR. The lead singer and percussionist Carmelo (Melo) Romero and guitarist Miguel Lampón came together in 1998 to form this dynamic group. The band has played at festivals such as the Bob Marley Roots Rock Reggae Festival (Wilmington, Delaware - 2004), the Montreal International Reggae Festival (Montreal, Canada - 2005) and the Sierra Nevada World Music Festival (California - 2006). At the moment the band has made several albums, among them: Sit (2003), Convicción (2005), Identidub (2006), Rebellion (2007), Gomba Files (2012), Road to Reggae (2016), Gomba Jahbari Live In Culebra (2016) and The Old Path (2016).
