Swedish pianist and piano teacher, born August 19, 1886 in Slöinge parish in Halland county, died March 24, 1981 in Hedvig Eleonora parish in Stockholm.

He adopted the name Boon on 2 August 1909.

Boon studied at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Stockholm with an organist degree in 1906. His further studies took place with Richard Andersson and Artur Schnabel, among others. In 1920 he made his debut as a pianist.

Boon was 1928–1953 a piano teacher and 1949–1954 also piano pedagogy at the Royal Academy of Music in Stockholm. Even after his time at the Academy of Music, he continued as a piano teacher. Several generations of Swedish pianists studied with Boon. Among his students are Eva Engdahl, Gunnar Hallhagen, Nils Kyndel, Käbi Laretei, Hans Leygraf, Carin Malmlöf-Forssling, Stig Ribbing, Gunno Södersten, Hilda Waldeland, Inger Wikström, Laszlo Beer and Kjell Bækkelund.

Boon was awarded the name of professor in 1949. He was elected in 1938 as member no. 621 of the Royal Academy of Music. In 1960 he was awarded the Medal for the Promotion of the Art of Tone by the same academy and in 1961 the Illis Quorum medal of the eighth size.
