American jazz cornetist. Son of Roy Haynes, and brother of Craig Haynes.

Born September 16, 1960, Brooklyn, New York.

He first studied the trumpet in high school before studying with Dave Burns. His first professional jazz position was with Jaki Byard ('78-83), before playing with Michael Carvin (1981-82), and Steve Coleman (1979-88). He moved to Paris in 1991, but returned to the US in 1993.
