Son of Red Allen, brother of Harley Allen, Ronnie Allen and Neal Allen.

Dayton, OH area banjo player who formed The Allen Brothers with his three siblings. After Neal's death and the departure of Harley for Nashville, Greg and Ronnie continued as a duo, playing around the Dayton area. As of 2016, Allen was also teaching banjo, mandolin, and guitar lessons and repairing instruments as sidelines to his gig work.
