Band from north of São Paulo, emerged in the 80's promoting a mix of rap, samba, funk and ballad, the Ghetto recorded their first album in 1987, "Estação Primeira" after shows in Rio and São Paulo. In addition to the four members of the set (Marcio, Julio Cesar, Marcola and Edson X), attended the debut trombonist Raul de Souza and percussionist Luiz Batera. This record stood out "G.U.E.T.O." and "Borboleta Psicodélica". A mix of pop, rock, heavy rhythms and promoted by the Brazilian Ghetto at its inception was a precursor, currently considered ahead of its time. The second disc, "E Agora Prá Dançar?" came out in 1989, with one more member, keyboardist Waldyr. Less worshiped than the first, "E Agora ..." spawned the song "Você Sabe Bem." The singer Julio Cesar left the band in 1993, giving way to Tom Neto, who also deployed a numerological change the group name, which was renamed Guetho. In 1998, with the new name, third album released "Tremeterra" more turning to funk and soul.
