About

Danish guitarist. He started playing guitar in Copenhagen's punk scene, but moved toward heavy metal. He performed live for the first time as a member of Brats on July 28, 1978. Following the breakup of Brats in 1981, Shermann, along with the band's vocalist Kim Bendix Petersen (soon to become King Diamond) and guitarist Michael Denner formed Mercyful Fate. Although Shermann has remained a member of Mercyful Fate, he has played with a number of other bands and is a music producer and songwriter.
