Austrian Blues Rock Pop Musician.
Born December 30, 1956 in Vienna and died May 21, 1988 in Vienna.
Born into a musical family, he soon started to play various instruments. His mother was part of a Jewish Hungarian, his father part of a bosnian family. The family settled in Vienna. In his youth, he was forced to leave the elementary school because of his refusal to cut his long hair and and he switched to Vienna's Music Academy. His first band was named "Small Blues Charly". Discovered by André Heller in 1979 he played in Heller's "Basta" tour band. Underwent his first heroin withdrawal treatment in 1980. The same year he started his english singing band project Chaos De Luxe. After collaborating with musicians like Wolfgang Ambros, [A=Christian Kolonovits] and touring with Peter Cornelius, he became a fixed part of the Austro Pop scene. His solo projects, on the other hand, never gained much attention, and he suffered frequent depressions. He was featured as an actor in various projects also. In 1988 he changed his name into Dew Mitch, hoping to gain more international response. Before his album was released, he indulged in hard heroin and alcohol abuse again and finally died on a heroin overdose May 21, 1988. After his demise, his single [r1758638] stayed on top of the Austrian charts for several weeks.
