    Harvey Scales (September 27, 1942 – February 11, 2019) was an American R&B singer, songwriter, and producer.


    Born in Osceola, Arkansas and grew up in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, U.S. In 1961 he formed Harvey Scales & The Seven Sounds along with Albert James Vance. He has written songs for [a=Dells], The Dramatics, The O'Jays etc. He recorded singles for Cuca Records, Cuca Records, Cuca Records and Cuca Records. He co-wrote [url=http://www.discogs.com/Johnnie-Taylor-Disco-Lady/release/563094]"Disco Lady"[/url] along with Johnnie Taylor and Albert James Vance in 1976, becoming one of the songwriters that wrote the first platinum single in U.S. After this success, he was signed to Cuca Records recording two solo albums in the late 70's produced by Melvin Griffin. He returned to the studio for one more album in 1991 for the Cuca Records label
