About

Hatesphere was originally formed as Cauterized in Denmark in 1993 by Jesper Moesgaard (drums), Claus Nielsen (vocals) and Frantz Dhin (guitar). The band rehearsed and eventually changed their name to Necrosis. They were soon joined by Peter Lyse Hansen (guitar) and in 1994 they made their live debut at a Danish music contest. In 1995 Frantz had to move and was replaced by Jespers' brother Jan. But he did, however, manage to play bass on their first demo, "Condemned Future", they recorded at Borsing Recordings in Aarhus. Later the same he eventually came back and as fulltime bassist. In 1996 they did a few live shows and shortly after Claus was kicked out of the band.

In 1997 they were joined by Jacob Bredahl (vocals) who had heard they were looking for a new vocalist. They then recorded the second demo, "Disconnected '97", which showed great improvement. In 1998 the third demo, "Spring'98", was released and sent out to various labels, but nothing happened. In 1999 Frantz was kicked out and replaced by Mikael Ehlert Hansen. They also made a song for the compilation album, "Extremity Rising Vol. 4".

In 2000 Jan was replaced by Ziggy and the band changed name to HateSphere. They also recorded their self-titled album, "HateSphere", which was released in 2001 by Italian Scarlet Records. Before the release Morten Toft Hansen had replaced the only original member left on drums, Jesper Moesgaard. In 2002 they released their second album, "Bloodred Hatred", and shortly after Ziggy was replaced by Henrik Bastrup Jacobsen of Koldborn. A lot of concerts, tours and festivals followed and in 2003 Morten Toft Hansen was replaced by Anders Gyldenøhr.

At the end of the year they released the EP "Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed and Something Black". It was followed by the third album, "Ballet of the Brute", which was released in 2004.
