Henry Ate

About

Henry Ate was a South African folk-pop band around permanent members Karma-Ann Swanepoel and Julian Sun that formed in Johannesburg in 1995. Their first album, "Slap in the Face", was released by independent label Tic Tic Bang in 1996. Confusing fans and media alike, the follow-up album "One Day Soon" was released under the moniker Karma in 1998 by Primedia Record Company while their last album, "Torn and Tattered", was issued in 2000 by EMI, again under their original name - prior to the obligatory 2002 greatest-hits album that signalled the end of their career, despite a solid following and a good run of success. Karma-Ann Swanepoel has since moved to Florida, USA and pursued her musical carrer under the moniker Karma.
