German baritone vocalist (* 08 October 1904 in Deutsch-Eylau, East Prussia, German Empire (today Iława, Poland); † 23 October 1983 in Bergisch-Gladbach, Germany).
He was founding member of Die Spree-Revellers in 1934. He joined the Meistersextett (former Comedian Harmonists) in 1936. After the Meistersextett disbanded in 1939, he tried to build his own ensemble, but was disrupted by the second World War. After the war in 1945 he founded the Comedien-Quartett, that also appeared under various alias names (Musikanten-Quartett, Die Sieben Raben, Hula Hawaiian Quartett, Ponny Boys, Die Leonardos, Die Argentinos). He was active in music business until 1964. His daughter Margrit Imlau became a well respected Schlager singer.
