American arranger, composer and pianist. Born August 19, 1915 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA Died March 16, 2007 (age of 91) in Los Angeles, California, USA. Staff composer at Universal Studios in the 1950's, contributing scores to over 200 films and is particularly known for his sci-fi and horror film scores. At the beginning of the 1960s, he concentrated on television music, retiring in the mid-1960s. His name rarely was in the movie credits because of the studio's tendency to give solo credit to the music supervisor.
