High on Fire is an American heavy metal band from Oakland, California that was formed in the late summer of 1998 by Matt Pike, Des Kensel, and George Rice. The band has released nine studio albums and won a 2019 Grammy award for "Best Metal Performance" for the song "Electric Messiah".
