Hot Butter was an American instrumental group fronted by Moog synthesizer player Stan Free, known for their cover of the Gershon Kingsley song 'Popcorn'. The Hot Butter version of the song was a global hit and was the first "successful" version of the song. Stan Free was previously in Gershon Kingsley's First Moog Quartet where he also had re-performed the song Popcorn before the Hot Butter version.
