I Cavalieri Del Re

"I Cavalieri del Re" is an Italian musical group from Milan, very popular for their original anime opening themes in the 1980s. Their name originated from their first single, "La spada di King Arthur". The band's biggest hit was the opening theme of the anime "Lady Oscar", published in 1982, which sold almost 1 million copies and reached 7th place in the weekly hit charts, becoming one of the most famous openings of an Italian TV show. The band was made of Riccardo Zara, his wife Clara Serian, their son Jonathan, and Guiomar Serina, the sister of Clara. The band worked until 1986.
Then, in the year 2000, the band restarted playing, and in 2005, they published a collection of songs, including previously unreleased themes and demos.
They continued to publish their hits in various other limited CD releases, the most recent in 2021 for their 40th anniversary.
