Jacinto Silva was a Brazilian singer and composer born in 1933, in Palmeira dos Índios, Alagoas. He was known for his peculiar rhythmic vocal delivery and syncopated song structures built on top of traditional Brazilian rhythms such as "coco de roda". Throughout his career, he recorded 24 LPs and 2 CDs. Jacinto died in 2001 in Caruaru, Pernambuco.
