American singer/songwriter, pianist, and a star of the longest running network radio show, Don McNeil's Breakfast Club. Born October 17, 1912, Tulsa, Oklahoma. Died January 26, 1982, Phoenix, Arizona. Husband of singer [a3063812] and father of singer [a5678612]. He was known as "The Cruising Crooner." His songs have been covered by numerous well-known artists, although they have not always been correctly credited to him, having lacked adequate information about him, or have been mis-attributed to blues singer [a=Jack Owens (3)].
