    American tenor vocalist (born ca. 1893 in Englewood, New Jersey – died September 11, 1940 in East View, New York)


    Parker was a popular radio performer who sang on The Lucky Strike Hour and many other radio shows. During World War I, he had served as a sergeant in the U.S. Army.

    In the late 1920s and early 1930s, Parker recorded more than 300 titles for Brunswick (1928-1931), Brunswick (1928-1931), Brunswick (1926-1933), Brunswick (1934), and Brunswick (1927-1929). He also recorded under several pseudonyms, namely as Glen Wick on a few Brunswick releases, Jack Hart on Columbia's budget labels Brunswick, Brunswick, Brunswick, and others, as J. Donald Parker for Brunswick, and as James Barker on Brunswick and Brunswick.
