Before he joins the band BZN in 1974, he played drums in a few local bands.
Next to his work as drums player, since 1988 Jack also wrote songs for BZN. Together with Jan Keizer and Jan Tuijp he owns a production company: JJJ Productions. This company produces albums and writes songs, among others for Jan Smit, their big discovery, in the early stage of his career.
