US tenor saxophonist, composer born 1983 in Buffalo, based in New York. He had music lessons from Carol McLaughlin and studied at the Buffalo Academy for the Visual and Performing Arts. After graduation, he continued his studies at the Howard University. At the CalArts he studied with Charlie Haden and Wadada Leo Smith. In 2010 Lewis got Master of Fine Arts. Since 2012 he has lived in New York. He worked with musicians like Dave Douglas, Joshua Redman, Aruán Ortiz, Chad Taylor, Brad Jones, Hank Roberts, Tony Malaby and Marilyn Crispell.
