J. Doyle Penrose (9 May 1862, County Wicklow, Ireland — 2 January 1932, Bognor Regis, West Sussex, England) was an Irish and British painter, father of psychiatrist Lionel Penrose (1898—1972) and painter Roland Penrose (1900—1984), and grandfather of renowned mathematician [url=https://discogs.com/artist/10946555]Roger Penrose[/url] (b. 1931).
